Melanie Salort, OT
Being an occupational therapist is not my job but my passion. Having been in the field for over 20 years, I have worked alongside children and their families to explore together how to best support them. My approach views the parents’ and caregivers’ experience central to guiding the therapeutic process to facilitate change.
With a strong knowledge base in sensory processing and the belief in the power of relationships mixed with my never ending curiosity of how the brain and body work, has provided a unique perspective to understanding behavior, regulation, and skill development.
Additionally, I am the parent of two boys, a wife, and a dog “mommy.” My own sensory needs are fulfilled with nature walks, Crossfit workouts, beach days, and reading while cozy under blankets (and coffee!).
